Dear Ms. Lee,

I am writing this letter in support of Cary L. Renault and ADA Technology’s continuing efforts to involve students in activities that bring attention to the needs and concerns of the disabled. It is vital that the special needs of all citizens are taken into account and that there is open dialogue on all issues in this area. No Child Left Behind should definitely take into account those students within our communities who are most often under resourced and undereducated due to the physical and / or learning barriers they possess.

As Director of Community Programming at Lowell Telecommunications Corporate, a non-profit community media and technology center serving the citizens of Lowell, MA, I am responsible for engaging all in our community in the effective use of telecommunications to learn, create and share. LTC’s mission is to ensure that all of our citizens have the skills, access and knowledge to be engaged in civic dialogue. We also work with many organizations in our community to build the technical and human capacity in implementing a range of communication systems and programs. Mr. Renault and ADATech have been ardent advocates in using these tools on behalf of disabled persons and especially young people in our community. In essence, LTC’s mission is to make the missions of organization’s such as ADATech more effective.

LTC supports ADATech’s grant to the US Department of Education and will work to ensure that our knowledge, resources and expertise are made available to this project to effectively use multimedia technologies to support the extend learning of students in the Lowell Public School system. Additionally, we will work to facilitate additional community resources and support as need by leveraging our strong community connections.

Sincerely,
Felicia M. Sullivan
Director of Community Programming
